    3. BARTER; COR,IRL; 1640- In my research across the internet I published my family tree at http://barter.family.webjump.com and after some two years of posting on boards and the like searching for the Irish connection I was contacted by Patricia Moorhead who had done a thesis on the Barter Family for a friend. She was good enough to send me an extract. In returned I built her a web page at http://moorhead.genealogy.webump.com and that extract is published there. I found it fascinating so have a look. 1. WECKER Wilhelm Friedrich; Grunbach Schorndorf WUE,DEU>USA; 1852
    2. WECKER Wilhelm Friedrich; Grunbach Schorndorf WUE,DEU>USA; 1852 I found the above on the Wuerttemberg Immigration Index. I believe they are, Frederick Wilhelm Wecker and Emma Friederica (Hardtung) Wecker, parents of my great grandfather, Emil Carl Wecker, born October 23, 1864, in East Birmingham, PA. In the same listing, are Carl Wecker 9 yrs., Christina Wecker 5 yrs. , Christine Wecker, Johann Wecker 3 yrs. all born in Grunbach, Schorndorf Germany. Date of Application Jan 1852, Destination North America. First, how can I find out where this town is. I searched mapquest, but came up with 13 different towns named Grunbach. I guess I need to find out where Schorndorf district is. Are there maps on-line that I could look at to determine this? Second, if their application is dated January 1852, would they have left immediately, or could it have been later? Third, are there any WECKER researchers out there. Would love to connect with "cousins". Cathy R. Fimbel Essprince@aol.com Home of Princely English Springer Spaniels
