    3. HOUSE; DOR,ENG; 1650-1800 We are interested in making contact with fellow researchers of the HOUSE family in Dorset. We have found masses of information about various members in the Puddletown/Dorchester area back to around 1700. We still have many queries , particularly a mariage of Robert and Jane possibly in Isle of Purbeck and trying to pin down a number of Johns, inclduing one who married Tabitha Genge (or Russell- although that might be a different couple). Cheers, Peter Byford "Peter Byford" <pgb@bcs.org.uk>

I am looking for the birth of Thomas Holman who married Mary Chauntler in Godstone in 1744 (by licence) , he was aged 26. Descendants were living in Lingfield , then family then settled in Ightham. My particular branch then moved to Brighton before moving to London in early 1900s. Any links please make contact. Cheers, Peter Byford (pgb@bcs.org.uk)

Re: WECKER Wilhelm Friedrich; Grunbach Schorndorf WUE,DEU>USA; 1852 There are different Gr"unbach's and Schorndorf's in Germany. You can use the routing of www.falk-online.de to find out. I guess you Gr"unbach is 73630 Gr"unbach and your Schorndorf is 73614 Schorndorf. The distance between these is 11.8 km. It is just 21.6 km east of Stuttgart (capital of Baden-W"urttemberg). Hope this helps. 3. WOOLF / WOLF / WOLFE; ENG; 1860- Seeking information on my WOOLF ancestors from Manchester. Eve Woolf married Nathan Phillips in or near Manchester in the 1860's. Nathan and Eve had a son named Tobias Phillips, who was born on 19 September, 1870. Their address on that date was 5 Stocks Street, Cheetham, Manchester. Tobias emigrated to the USA and lost contact with his family. Family oral tradition suggests that Tobias may have had a brother known as Tony, but this has not been confirmed. Tobias was my maternal grandfather. If you have any knowledge of the Woolf family from Manchester, please contact me. Neil Barmann n.barmann@usa.net

    3. HENNESSEY / HENNESSY,John; Milltown,CLA,IRL; c.1835 I'm trying to find the Irish birthplace and family of my great-grandfather John Hennessey. His USA death certificate says he was born in Ireland on Dec. 22, 1835 and his parents were John Hennessey and Bridget Canney. His naturalization papers say he was from Milltown, Co. Clare, Ireland. (As far as I can tell this could be Milltown-Malbay in west Clare, or the townland of Milltown in east Clare, near Tulla). He came to New York in 1857 from Liverpool on a ship named "Calhoun". He went to Brunswick, Maine in 1860, where he married and raised a family of eight and died in 1923. Any help would be appreciated, Joe Hennessey Joseph Hennessey <jhenness@optonline.net>
