    1. CUBITT, Elsie Gwendoline; CAN; b.1886
    2. CUBITT, Elsie Gwendoline; CAN; b.1886 I am looking for a Cubitt that I believe emigrated to Canada in the late from London in1800's or early 1900's. Her father was William Robert Cubitt, her mother was Amelia Jane Carter nee Box. I do not know if she married before or after going to Canada. She had a step brother who was a chemist who also emigrated to Canada. His name may have been Cubitt or possible Carter. She is the sister of my grandfather Thomas Lancelot Cubitt who emigrated to Australia after the Boer War. Janice Lindner janlin@picknowl.com.au

    3. YOUNG, Richard Nash; Surrey, ENG; c. 1740 I have been trying ti trace the birth/birthplace of this gentleman who was a Second Lieutenant in the Marines between 1760 and 1795, when he died in May of that year. His Letters of Administration show that he was late of the Parish of St. Mary, Lambeth, Surrey and that he was a widower. I have tried to trace where he was from via the Royal Marines Museum and records at the PRO at Kew, but have drawn a blank. I am hoping that someone on the List is also researching YOUNGS and may have come across him, so I would be pleased to hear from you. I would also very much appreciate any suggestions as to where to look next please. 3. READ Cozens; BKM,ENG; c. 1700-1783 READ Cozens; BKM, ENG; c1700-1783 Cozens READ is my 6 x great grandfather and lived in Nether Winchendon, Buckinghamshire with his wife Elizabeth SHIRLEY of Brill, BKM/OXF. They had eighteen children and while I have managed to trace most of the children's lines, have drawn a blank as to where Cozens READ was from. He and Elizabeth married in 1734 in Aylesbury, BKM and for the rest of their days they stayed in Nether Winchendon, where he was an Overseer of the Poor and Churchwarden. I have a copy of his Will but that gives no clue to his origins, and I have also searched many of Buckinghamshire's parish registers but to no avail. If anyone else is researching READs I would be pleased to hear from you and would also appreciate any ideas of the best way to search for Cozens' origins please. 1. HOLMAN / ROBINSON / WALKER; CO,USA; 1880-
    2. Peter Byford
    3. HOLMAN / ROBINSON / WALKER; CO,USA; 1880- Subject: HOLMAN; CO,USA; 1880-1999 I would like to contact the descendants of WILLIAM and BESSIE HOLMAN who emigrated to Salida and Chaffe County area of Colorado in 1885. Having initially arrived in california. WILLIAM was a boilermaker who worked in Dever, Durango and Salida. William (died 1911) and Bessie (died 1923), were both buried in Fairview Cementary, Salida. Their children were FRANK, WILLIAM HENRY(HARRY) and AMY. FRANK had a son called FRANK and other children. We believe AMY married a GEORGE ROBINSON ; they had 5 children; HOLMAN, FRANK, ROGER, HENRY & ELSIE. HOLMAN ROBINSON , who married Lola Smith, died in 1963, their children were HOLLY, BRADLEY and GEORGE - all born in Colorado,Utah and Montana respectively. I think that Lola was born in Indian and had a sister Leonora who married NOEL WALKER, they had two children, according to 1920 census, ROBERT and RICHARD. HARRY was , in 1911, Manager of the Pioneer Boiler Works in Grand Junction. We think he married Hattie and possibly had a child Fanny Further information suggests that they lived at 209 dodge Street, Salida for 16 years. They may have had another son ?Lurton? Holman who was a game warden for many years in the area - I increasingly think that this link is unlikely. I would dearly like to get in touch with any decendants. Cheers, -- Peter G Byford <pgb@bcs.org.uk>
