BROWN William; Wrabness,ESS,ENG; 1840-1903 Hello, This is a bit of a long shot but I am trying to trace the history of a William Brown Born C.1840 died 1903 in Tendring Union Work house from Cancer of the rectum. (Ouch) He is believed to have been a Navie on the railway from Manning tree, Essex and in 1882-1884 took up residence in Wrabness, Essex. Later married an Emily Porter on 3rd August 1890 in Wrabness. In the 1891 census, the only one we defiantly know was him, his birth place was stated as unknown. (N.K.) Together Emily and William had the total of 5 children + the possibly of having three more before they married. When he died, Emily did not know any of his family to tell them of his death, so we are a bit stuck. There is a bit of confusion of where he was born, someone say's Scotland, someone else said Liverpool and some one else said Suffock/Essex. We have checked the Railway records and there is no records of Navies, also his death record at the work house say's birth place unknown. Does anyone have any information that may help me trace this person. If anyone has any William Browns they cant trace, please let me know as I am having to just grasp at straws at the moment. Many, many thanks. Paul. "Paul Atkins" <paul@lpbh.freeserve.co.uk>

Re: KRAMM; DEU; 1860 I'm also searching for ancestors with the name Cram (Kram-Kramm-v.Cramm etc.) Heritage Books Inc.1540E Pointer Ridge Place BOWIE Maryland 20716 is the editor of 3 volumes of the Cram sourcebook. He married Ruth WILLIAMS around 1872 when he was in the Royal Artillery and became a Sergeant Wheelwright having served in Ireland and India as well as Woolwich and Shoeburyness in Essex. COLENSO; Bristol, ENG; 1830-1890 I am looking for any information on a Colenso family living in Bristol around 1860 and in particular Mary Ann Colenso born in 1862 and who went out to Australia sometime around 1800 and married Albert James Owen at Beechworth on the 24th April 1886. She also seem to have strong connections with Mark, Somerset, England but so far I have not been able to figure out how these fit in. Always hopeful, Clive Owen "Clive Owen" <suncli@globalnet.co.uk>
PUGSLEY, Alice Maud; Bristol, ENG; 1903-1960 Alice Maud Pugsley was born on the 13th November 1894 in Melbourne, Australia and her parents were Albert James Owen and Mary Ann Owen (nee Colenso). The family moved to Bristol sometime around 1903 and Alice married a Pugsley. The husband owned an engineering firm near Temple Meads in Bristol and the couple had two children Beryl and Mary. If anyone knows of this family I would love to hear from you. Clive Owen, Currently researching OWEN, Aus, Bristol & Glamorgan. ROBINSON, Glos. COLENSO, Bristol & Somerset. AUSTWICK, Edit Clara; Bristol, ENG; 1903-1960 Edith Clara was born on the 9th June 1888 in Melbourne, Australia and her parents were Albert James Owen and Mary Ann Owen (nee Colenso). The family moved to Bristol in about 1903 and some time after this Edith married an Austwick. Whites Directory for Bristol for 1928-29 records a Percy Edward Austwick living at 5 Richmond Park Road, Clifton and this may well be the family. Just before the Second World War the family were living in Weston-super-Mare and running a Guest House in Clevedon Road. I understand that they moved to Glasgow in about 1947. They had two children Joan and Joy. If anyone knows of this family I would be most interested to hear. Clive Owen, Currently researching OWEN, Aus, Bristol & Glamorgan. ROBINSON, Glos.
