MCNEESE / WHITE; CAV,IRL; 1700-1999 Sorry, this is the correct URL: http://members.spree.com/sip/palisades/history.htm Constance Hello All... I am new here to the Mailing List. While I feel that I have much to offer many, I wish to receive information as well. Personally, I have errected a web site in behalf of this mailing list and those in it with regards to my very large family genealogy, which obviously has something to do with this thread. It included History, Ancestries, births, marriages, deaths, immigration, wills, divorces, children, etc. I hope to go into more specifics with you in the near future. I, also, hope to provide those needing assistance with further information. You can find the topic of this thread within the Family Ancestry, History and Geneaolgy, Surnamesm and Directory of Names of this Home Page Web Site. It is a contribution to the areas, Counties, Countries,Names, and Histories to many locations. Try it out and take a look at it. If you find anything worthwhile then let me know and if you can contribute further to it then let me know. I wish that I could list all the information here at one time that pertains to this thread but it is so vastly large that I can only contribute parts at a time. So, in the meantime, I am sending the web site in whole as it is very huge. So please view it at this time while you can. SAGATON; COR,IRL; 1840-1854 My gt. grandmother's (Bridget Sheehan Broderick) death certificate says her mother's name was Honora Sagaton and location of residence was Ireland. This is the only piece of information I have on this woman. I have not come across this name ANYWHERE and believe me, I've tried. Does anyone know anything about this name SAGATON? That is the way it is spelled on the death certificate and I've even tried various spellings - no luck. She was married to Michael Sheehan, if that helps any. Family legend says the Sheehans and the Brodericks came from County Cork and I have been told by many helpful people that this is probably true. However, I have still had no luck in breaking the mystery on Honora Sagaton. I have thought, perhaps, that she was an English woman who lived in Ireland when her daughter Bridget was born. But I can find no way to substantiate that either. Bridget had at least one sibling named Kate (Kathryn?). Both Bridget and Kate are buried in St. Joseph's cemetery, in Lynn, MA, USA. Has anyone EVER heard the name Sagaton??? Any help would be ever so appreciated. Bette Wing in Brockport NY, USA bwing@frontiernet.net
