    3. NEARMAN / GAJEWSKI / KLEMENSHEFSKY; Buchtel, OH,USA > MI,USA; 1800- Hello: We are doing research on Gary's family tree. Very little is known about them and unfortunately, important papers and documents have not been kept. His grandmother, Anna Klemenshefsky (she spelled it Klimaszewski with many other variations discovered) married Anthony Nearman. They were from Buchtel, Ohio and moved to the area of Bay City, Michigan. Anna was baptized at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church (formerly St. Patrick's) of Buchtel, OH on October 6, 1889. Her parents were Anna Lesthafski and John Klemenshefsky. The Nearman name was changed from Gajewski (spelling could be wrong). That is about all we know, so it's not much to go on. We would like to find out what happened to Anthony Nearman and when/why his name was changed, but any information would be appreciated. If you recognize any of these names or places and would like to share information, please contact us. Thank you for any help. Gary and Kathy Czuba (gkczuba@concentric.net)

    3. PETER, Martin Lindsay; SCT>ARG; 1831- I have a Martin Lindsay PETER known as a "sheep farmer, South America". He was born, probably at Kirkland in Fife, baptised 1 Jun 1831 at Brechin, Keithock Parish. Seems to have emigrated in the early 1860s to South America. He curled at the Leven Curling Club in 1861, and again in 1881, having returned briefly to Kirkland, when he was described as a "Sheep farmer, South America". Any suggestions as to how I might proceed with this enquiry? There was also a John Peter who died in "South America" about 1878. David Morris Kimberley South Africa "D. 3. RODGERS, Susannah; Holbeach, LIN,ENG; c. 1844 I am seeking any information on Susannah Rogers who was born in 1844 at Holbeach St. Johns, Lincolnshire and appears in the 1881 Census as an unmarried Housekeeper in the household of Henry Capes, widower of Foxes Lane, Holbeach. She is shown as having a son John Henry Rogers aged 5 years at that time. I suspect that the correct spelling should be Rodgers and that John Henry Rodgers married Eliza Fletcher at Whaplode on the 6th October 1897, but the birth certificate records John Henry's father as "Deceased". I am unable to find any trace of Susannah in subsequent census returns or in earlier census returns. I have tried the Bastardy records but she is not shown. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
