CROOKER, George A.; OH,USA; 1847 Researching to verify whether or not George A. Crooker b. March, 1847 in Ashtabula, Ohio (married to a Malicia Midia________ in 1867) is the same George Augusta Crooker to migrated to Lauderdale Co., Mississippi. My records show that George A. Crooker's parents were Obed Harvey Crooker b. 7/8/1807 in Green, NY and Nancy Jane Strong b. c. 1810; married in Ashtabula, Ohio 1/23/1834. They also show a William Crooker b. c. 1785 and Abiail Harvey b. c. 1790 as being Obed's parents. This information was provided by IGI files from the LDS library. George A. Crooker had a son named Arthur b. c. 1878 in Ohio which would coincide with my gggrandfather, Arthur Breathart Crooker born June, 1878. I am trying to tie in the Mississippi/Ohio connection. Any help will be appreicated. Thank you, Curtis E. Ezell Margie Kirby Ezell curtmarg@webtv.net (Margie Ezell)

CLAY; Duffield,DBY,ENG; 1830-1900 My great great grandfather James Barton CLAY moved from Wirksworth to Duffield sometime after 1830. He and three of his children are listed on the 1851 census, living at three different addresses. I have reason to believe that at least three generations of the family used the name Barton as a middle name for the sons (it was JBC's mother's maiden name) and I would be interested in hearing from anyone with a "Barton CLAY" amongst their ancestors. Mike, I saw your message, you're searching in Germany. The name VALERIUS however is also known in the Netherlands, more specific in Amsterdam. I know of a clinic in Amsterdam called "Valeriuskliniek" (adress: Valeriusplein 9, 1075 BG Amsterdam -NL- , tel.: 00 31 20573666, fax 00 31 206737458), also there is a travel agency listed in the phonebook called Valerius Reizen and a person with the surname Valerius. I don't know whether this is of any help for you, but might be a suggestion to broaden your inquieries. Re: RYAN; LIM,IRL; 1850 This is a copy of the original message which I posted. For further details please contact me direct. Thanks - Lisa. ______________ Hi I am searching for any information on Mary Ryan who married a John Riordan (or possibly a Patrick John or John Patrick) circa 1850's. Mary and John had a daughter Bridget born circa 1862, birthplace given as Limerick, Co. Limerick, Ireland. Something may have happened to either John or Mary as their daughter Bridget was raised by a James & Mary (nee Lynch) Riordan in Bruree, Co. Limerick. I think James may have been John's brother. Bridget left Ireland and came to Australia some time shortly before 1886. If anyone has any information about the surname Ryan or Riordan I would love to hear from you. Many thanks, Lisa.
