Last mention of widow and daughter Mary was in 1886, when Teresa Catherine was a god-mother for a child of her brother, William McCormick. Also in Brooklyn. RIMMER James; AB,CAN; 1920-1940 Does anyone ever remember or heard of my uncle James Rimmer who was born in Formby Lancs UK about 1900 he was a Golf Professional at Bidston Cheshire,then went to Canada where he was pro at Ashburton Golf Club Halifax NS after that he went to Jasper Park Alberta I think he was the first pro when Jasper Park was opened this all took place about 1920-1940 they had one son Teddy thats all I know if anyone has anything to add I would be grateful. James, Henry, William, John, Philip, Thomas, Marjery, Joan and Sarah James, Henry, Philip and Thomas went to MA Bay colony from 1640's-1655. They were ironworkers. They may have been non-conformists. Possible places: Penceford, Somersetshire; Chester,Cheshire; Bilston; Pontypool James' eldest son Thomas was born in Pontypool, but they apparently only lived there for a short while, as ironworkers? They were brought to the Colony under the auspices of John Winthrop, Jr. to work at the Saugus Ironworks in Taunton. TIPPER,James; Scropton,DBY,ENG; 1862 James Tipper was my maternal G Grandfather. He was born in Scropton in south Derbyshire as were his father and grandfather before him. He was born on 10 Mar 1862 and baptised on 6 April in the same year. On 6th June 1881 he married Mary Ann Walton in Swadlincote. She came from Tideswell in the north of the county. Their first-known child was Eliza Ann born in 1855 but I think there may have been others before. There were three others following Eliza; May, Gladys and Ivy. There was a large number of Tipper's living in Scropton but I don't know if or how they were related. Any help would be very much appreciated.
