    3. WALLIS Bridget / RYAN Matthew; COR,IRL>NY,USA; c.1840-1900 Looking for information concerning Bidinna (Bridget) Frances WALLIS (or WALLACE) and her husband Matthew RYAN, my grgrparents. Before emigrating to NYC ca 1885-86 along with their children the couple lived in Ballynadrideen, Ballyhae Parish (Catholic), District of Charleville, Orrery & Kilmore Barony, Kilmallock Poor Law Union, County Cork, where they had ca. 11 children between Feb 1867 and Feb 1885. Matthew RYAN died in NYC 7 June 1897 and is buried in a plot bought by his wife in Calvary in Woodside. He was supposedly 57 years old at the time of his death. Bidinna (or Bridget) was last reported in Trow's 1898-99 as living at 363 Third Ave, NYC. After that she disappears. She is not buried in the same plot as her husband, though one of her children is. Others in that plot are unknown to me. Another child, my grandfather, is also buried in Calvary, but in another plot purchased in 1915 by his wife Hannah COUGHLAN. I am lacking (among other things) the dates and places of Matthew's and Bidinna's births and their marriage; date and place of Bidinna's death; the exact date of the family's emigration from Ireland. Any help will be appreciated. Regards, -- Robert J. Widenmann [email protected]
