In a message dated 98-03-25 00:52:20 EST, you write: << Could your parent stock have been in MD early on?? There are 4 Rogers listed in the book of Early Settlers ROGERS; John, Nicholas, Solomon, and William. Dates from 1733 to 1750. Solomon ROGERS in Worcester Co, Other 3 in Baltimore >> ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ////////////////////////// Of course. I have NO evidence he was in NC first. Only family talk and the fact that the other related families came to GA from NC and SC. HENRY ROGERS could have come from MARYLAND. Do you see any HENRYs among the children?? That seems to be the problem. Almost no onther HENRYs seem to show up among likely families. All the related families were Scottish or English in origin and they follow naming patterns where they usually name children after family members. USUALLY but not always. My Henry Rogers was b. in 1787, so if the MARYLAND group left there after the Revolution, they could have immigrated to either NC or Ga. Is that all the info you have on that Rogers family? Thanks for anything.... Caroline Burnett Cook
