I am searching for connections with Patrick Egan from Ennis and/or Newmarket, Clare, Ireland. Particularly, I am also interested in connections to Bridget Egan shown in Generation 2 below. She migrated to America, married a McNamara, and was never heard of since. If you have any connection to any part of this family in Ireland, Australia or America, I will be pleased to hear. PATRICK (2)2 EGAN (PATRICK(1)1) was born 1806 in Ennis, Clare, Ireland, and died May 04, 1901 in Palen Creek, Queensland. He married BRIDGET FORAN May 04, 1831 in Newmarket, Clare, Ireland. Notes for PATRICK (2) EGAN: Emigrated in 1882 (Death Certificate). Daughter's Bridget and Mary and his son John emigrated to America instead. Moved to Palen Creek in 1884, the same year as their sons James and Thomas. Sold his property at Palen Creek to son Mick in 1898 when he was 92 years of age. Notes for PATRICK(3) EGAN: Patrick migrated to Australia c1863. It is believed that he came with his Uncle James Moloney and Aunt Bridget (Egan) to Brisbane. This may have been on the "Plymouth" or from Plymouth? Patrick worked as a labourer on the roads before becoming an overseer. ii. MICHAEL EGAN, b. 1849, Clare; d. May 18, 1922, Palen Creek, Queensland; m. MARY ANN YORE, 1884, Queensland. Notes for MICHAEL EGAN: Thomas and Michael married sisters Bridget and Mary Yore respectively. iii. MARY EGAN, b. 1852; d. December 24, 1924, Palen Creek, Queensland. Notes for MARY EGAN: In 1879 - 1888 ? emigrated to America with sister Bridget and brother John. Mary eventually joined the rest of the family in Australia with Bridget's daughter Julia in 1888. This makes 1879 emigration to America more likely. iv. BRIDGET EGAN, b. 1856; m. UNKNOWN MCNAMARA, America. Notes for BRIDGET EGAN: Emigrated to America with sister Mary and brother John (1879-1888 more likely 1879). Resided at Tamborine (with Pat and Bridget), South Brisbane (to 1884) and Palen Creek. Thomas worked in South Brisbane as a shop assistant for his cousin and her husband, Mr. Morrison before he moved to Palen Creek in 1884, the same year as his Father and Mother and his brother James.
