I am searching for the family of Bridget Foran who migrated to Australia from Ireland c1882. Other members of the family may have gone to America. She married PATRICK (2) EGAN May 04, 1831 in Newmarket, Clare, Ireland, son of PATRICK(1) EGAN and MARY REILLY. Notes for PATRICK (2) EGAN: Emigrated in 1882 (Death Certificate). Moved to Palen Creek in 1884, the same year as their sons James and Thomas. Daughter's Bridget and Mary and his son John emigrated to America instead. Notes for MARY EGAN: In 1879 - 1888 ? emigrated to America with sister Bridget and brother John. Mary eventually joined the rest of the family in Australia with Bridget's daughter Julia in 1888. PATRICK(3)2 EGAN (BRIDGET1 FORAN) was born 1844 in Clare, and died December 13, 1917 in Palen Creek, Queensland. He married BRIDGET CUSACK December 28, 1873 in Queensland. Notes for PATRICK(3) EGAN: Patrick migrated to Australia c1863. It is believed that he came with his Uncle James Moloney and Aunt Bridget (Egan) to Brisbane. This may have been on the "Plymouth" or from Plymouth? Patrick worked as a labourer on the roads before becoming an overseer. 3. MICHAEL2 EGAN (BRIDGET1 FORAN) was born 1849 in Clare, and died May 18, 1922 in Palen Creek, Queensland. He married MARY ANN YORE 1884 in Queensland, daughter of JOHN YORE and JULIA CASSIDY. Notes for MICHAEL EGAN: Thomas and Michael married sisters Bridget and Mary Yore respectively. 4. BRIDGET2 EGAN (BRIDGET1 FORAN) was born 1856. She married UNKNOWN MCNAMARA in America. Notes for BRIDGET EGAN: Emigrated to America with sister Mary and brother John (1879-1888 more likely 1879). Her daughter Julia eventually joined the rest of the family in Australia in 1888 with her Aunty Mary. No one knows, as yet, what happened to Bridget. Child of BRIDGET EGAN and UNKNOWN MCNAMARA is: i. He married BRIDGET CECILIA YORE November 09, 1898 in Queensland, daughter of JOHN YORE and JULIA CASSIDY. Notes for THOMAS EGAN: Thomas and Michael married sisters Bridget and Mary Yore respectively. Resided at Tamborine (with Pat and Bridget), South Brisbane (to 1884) and Palen Creek. Thomas worked in South Brisbane as a shop assistant for his cousin and her husband, Mr. Morrison before he moved to Palen Creek in 1884, the same year as his Father and Mother and his brother James.
