I am looking for anyone who may have information on this family. It has been a major brick wall for me!! Frances Xavier Wehrle died in Columbus, OH. Although I can find no record of that yet. His granddaughter is still living and assures me that he did. This would have been in the late 1800's. I know very little about his early life, He was born in Baden Germany, at some point he immigrated to the US. I don't know if he came with his family, but I can find many Wehrle's listed in OH records, just can't seem to find any linked to mine. He was married to Margerita Boernstorf. This was supposedly his second marriages. I am told that both marriages produced a total of 23 children. (Amazing if he was so prolific that I can find no one who seems to be attached to him, except...) I know of one son: Michael James Wehrle born in Columbus, OH on Dec. 15, 1877. Michael married Margurite Hickey on June 4, 1902 in Columbus, OH. Michael died on July 23, 1968. Michael and Margurite had 5 children: Florence Marie, Margaret Angela, Lawrence Frances, Evangeline Regina, and Catharine Elizabeth. Florence and Margaret are deceased but the others still live. Apparently Frances X. died before any of these remaining grandchildren were born, therefore they have little knowledge of him.
