I have hit a dead end following the trail of Karl Hugo Soderman, b.c. 1908 in either Sweden or Finland (oral history is shaky). Left on a merchant ship as a seaman for the US between 1920 and 1935, possibly staying in New York as long as two years, and possibly taking a wife. Trail picks up in Argentina where he fathered three children, and died 1953. No records have been kept by his family, and little is known before his arrival in Argentina.
