Amy, I live about 45 miles north of Atlanta and have not been there in over 30 years. I believe Oakland Cemetery is the oldest one in the Atlanta area. I think Margaret Mitchell was buried there. But you would need an approximate year of the persons death to narrow down where they may have been buried. If he or she was buried in a National Cemetery the only one in the area that I know of is Marietta National Cemetery. This is north of Atlanta. I hope this helps. Phyllis PJShane299@aol.com
