Hello all, I am searching for the place of birth or death for Joseph Shane. He married a girl from Harrisburg. They lived in Baltimore, Md. had four children, the first born in 1886 and the 2nd 1888. They married probably 1885.place unknown. Since Baltimore is so large in searching microfilm and there are a number of Joseph Shanes, would it be possible if someone had access to the City Directories to find Joseph & Mary Gallagher and their children Edward, Joseph, Frances & Iva. The next I find Mary is in her son's USN papers and she is listed as beneficiary and her name is Mary Zeigler and it is 1907. Where did he go? Talk was that he died and was buried at sea. But when did he disappear from Baltimore. In 1907 she is in York, Pa. Any help of any kind will be gratefully accepted. PJShane299@aol.com
