I am desperately seeking information on my grandfather POPPENBERG, George Oscar joined the army in 1901, married Amelia K. Langrock 6/14/1902. 2 sons Arthur and Robert E.. Left when Robert was abt 5 yrs old. We know nothing about his family or where to search. They supposedly came from a town in Germany named poppenberg. Can anyone help? Thanks. Gail Poppenberg Hopkins
