Dear members, I would like to straighten out a few things about this list and the Sgt. I sent a letter privately to Sgt George. Some one decide they wanted to put it on the mailing list. This is the question that I asked. " I thought his list was for information. I for one look forward to seeing the answers, in case I could use them. Why do I have to just read questions. Mart. This is the answer I got on the mailing list. Dear Mart, This list IS information, and mostly what Sgt. George is talking about is messages like this one which accomplish practically nothing, genealogically. The ONLY reason" I" Posted it Back to the list is to help others understand the same. ________________Normally, I would have replied to your letter off the list. This is the private letter that I got from SGT George. Mart I should have been clearer. Several users are "talking back and forth with the email that contains absolutely nothing useful for the other users. All of us are adult intelligent humans. A little brain exercise will tell us when our emails are beneficial to the entire group or to just one individual. Replies to an offer for lookups are not beneficial to the group. I did not intend to strife meaningful discourse, Just tried to cut down the fluff. In defense of Sgt. George , whom I don't know . He did nothing wrong someone else did, by sending my private letter to the list. Also Sgt George is not on the air as he is on vacation. I hope this clears things up and you all stay with the list.
