Hi all, My family of William Henry STEELE (daughter Arlene married John Sanford CAMPBELL, 1906) lived and farmed the area of The Dalles, Wasco County, OR about 18 to 1890. I'm looking for a "Plat" map (usually found in an atlas by Metzger Atlas) which shows the sections, acres, and who lived on/owned that section. I have one done in 1860 and one in 1877, both of which was before the time period I need. Does anyone know the where abouts of one done between 1890-1900. The description of the land would be: 160 acres, North East quarter of section 26, in Township No. 1 North., Range No. 13 East Willamette Meridian. This was my g grandfather's Homstead. I have a copy of the Homestead Certificate, found at the Wasco County Clerks Office. I understand there are archives in Salem, but I've search there, and the two history libraries, one in each college/university in Corvallis and Eugene which may have a copy in their files.
