Karen, IGI stands for International Genealogical Index.This is the LDS FAmily History Centers program for people where they have either sent members to courthouses etc. and placed names in their computers. All are from their temple files.You man either find a single person, a marriage or family unit. If you find a match, you may order the film, if available, from their main libray for a small fee of rental and view same, sometime the information is worth it, sometime you do not get enough to be worth it. There is a phamplet telling all about IGI, wish I had a scanner and I would go get one and it would be better than me explaning. REMEMBER!! these are not 100% acurate. Some of these are from people just like you and me, and we all make mistakes, Aunt Susie or Uncle Tom tells us Grandma and Grandpa got married before they left TN and we put that and then we find they got married after they got to TX, or the family bible says they got married 9 months before the first child and it was really 6.
