I am trying to find any information I can about John SALMI. As far as I've been told he came to the U.S. from Finland a year or so before 1919. I can't find any records. He should have been traveling with his wife(unknown) 2 possibly 3 children. They were Helen, Henri (Henry), & possibly Armas. I am not sure if he was born in Findland or the U.S. He was born in 1919. Also traveling with them was Alina SAARINEN, the babysitter? Who turned out to be my Grandmother. She was born 1895 and died 1980. I was told they came to Ellis Island, then I don't know ,then Rifton, N. Y. John then went to Calif. and Alina went to Florida. I don't know the years. I never knew who Johns' wife was or where she went. I appreciate any help. Thank-you in advance Elizabeth Salmi Oliver
