Evidently some users get their email from the SURNAME-QUERY List via the Digest and are just now sending responses to off-topic posts. This started yesterday and I though I would wait at least 24 hours before saying anything. It appears that this poster, and several others, decided NOT to read the notes from me about off-topic postings. Why else would they con- tinue to send this stuff? Anyway, another 24 hours and any users that respond to any off-topic subjects will be summarily unsubscribed by me. Just because users choose not to read Listowner posts and are not aware of the consequences, there can be no claim of ignorance. These posts are innocuous and inconsequential, BUT they continue the trend of using this List as a "chit-chat" room. Why in the world can't users send these things via private email instead of sending them to over 1000 other users who don't want to have to download them?
