A very nice user suggested to me that I send the following advice to "newbies" who are just starting out and do not yet have the confidence to try replying to the List. To Newbies: When you read a post that you would like to reply to, go ahead and reply, but delete the TO: address in your reply and type in your own email address. That way, you will almost immediately get back the reply and you can look at it and see how it would look if you sent it to the List. You can also get practice in highlighting, cutting, copying, and pasting without having to be afraid of making mistakes. Once you have the techniques down pat and have gained the necessary confidence, you can "let 'er fly".
