Please, does anyone have the address for obtaining birth records prior to 1880 for Stony Point, N.Y.? I have tried the "Where to Write for Vital Records-New York web site, with no luck. They say to write the Registrar of Vital Statistics in the city where the event took place if it was prior to 1880. I did that and got my letter back, stamped attempted, not known. To make things worse, there are about 4 Stony Points in New York! TIA Virginia
