I am particularly looking for family of George FEARIS who was in KY before 1800; served as sheriff of Lewis Co., KY. Married to Mary TAYLOR daughter of John TAYLOR and Sarah (--- ? --- ) somewhere in PA. Family tradition--as much as this can be trusted--says he came from Ireland, Northern Ireland ? Irish Free State? Who knows. I was told he was a relative of John FEARIS who co-wrote "Little Sir Echo" and wrote the words to an early 20th century hymn "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."
