I am researching CAVENEY/KAVENEY from Ireland to US primarily in the Pennsylvania area. Wayne County (Hawley, Honesdale, Mt. Pleasant, Pleasant Mount) and Lackawanna/Luzerne County (Scranton and surrounding areas). Recently found tombstone of John CAVENEY in cemetery in Hawley. I have found John CAVENEY from County Mayo, Parish Kilmore. died March 16, 1856, in Hawley, Wayne County, Pa. Associated names include (but definitely not limited to) MC DONALD, WALTON, GIBLIN, MC LAUGHLIN, BREE, FEE, ROLAND, CORCORAN, LAHEY, NALLIN, LAVELLE, FEATHERSTONE, GALLAGHER AND MC ALOON).
