    3. Folks, you are NOT reading the Welcome Message that you receive when you subscribe. Today there were just too many new queries with nothing in the Subject Line except "surname" or "surnames". Do you think all the almost 1000 users of this List are doing research on "SURNAME". Of course not!!!!! So how about putting in something of value in the Subject line so the rest of us can help you? If you don't follow the procedures outlined in the Welcome Message, chances are that the majority of users here will simply delete your email without opening it. After all, if you don't care enough to let us know what name(s) you are researching, why should we read the email? Good subject lines: DOE, John W.; 1750-1832; England>PA>VA>MO DOE, John W. and descendants; 1750-present; England>PA>VA> To those of you who replied to these "surname" posts: If you DO read them and if you DO reply, for heaven's sake change the subject line to match what you are sending back!!!!! Don't leave it as "surnames". SgtGeorge George W.
