Searching for info on Alexander Smith who married around 1789 to Lydia Ruland (Rowland) Their children that I know of were: Almeda Smith, born 19 Dec 1790 in Hauppague,L.I., NY, and she married Richard Gildersleeve, 16 March 1808, in the Presbyterian Church, in Smithtown. Lydia Minerva Smith was born 15 Mar. 1805 and Baptised July 25, 1805 at the Presb. Church, Smithtown. Alexander Smith, was born April 25, 1806 and Baptised May 17, 1807 in the same church.
