Debbie Painter Hi Debbie, As you can see sometimes it takes me awhile to respond to messages (G). I just came across this one as I am cleaning up some OLD files. I kept it because I have a booklet titled "The Witness of a Wandering Quaker" The Life Story of Levius Painter 1889-1983. It mentions The Painter-King-Carpenter lines. States "Quaker John Painter with his family enigrated from Shropshire in England, near the Welch border in 1699. The family first ssettled at Haddonfield, NJ." This booklet was put out by Levinus' family to honor him. My FIL had this in his things. Rev. Painter served the church in Putney, VT for a spell and I guess that's why he had it. If this is any of your family I would be happy to copy and send to you. Ruth Ruth Barton Westminster,Vermont mrgjb@sover.net
