    3. Oh, for gosh sakes! Give the man a break! Maybe he does have a slight attitude, but who knows what he goes though that gave it to him. The bottom line is he's doing us a service. If his attitude bothers you ignore it or unsubscribe. Meanwhile look for the best in him, that he is going to alot of trouble to be listowner .Surely that speaks something of his caring and helpful nature. 3. Oh dear, Ed. Those who join lists should have the common courtesy to read the instructions - Melvin was being very helpful, and our esteemed list owner made a mild mannered ironic comment. That's all. Perhaps this is the problem - irony is not best understood in all parts of the world! Best to leave it there and perhaps to leave the list if you disagree with the owner. Bear in mind that these people spend many, many valuable hours in making these facilities available for us all - having to spend time subscribing and unsubscribing for those who don't read the instructions is a burden that should not arise, and I for one say a heartfelt thanks to Sgt George and all the list owners. 2. Why not put the instructions on a web page and list the url in the signature line for the list. I realize all would not read it there, however, some would. Actually, I find it amusing and sad how many people ask such obvious and simple questions. Then, I realize that not everyone has had the same opportunities as I have had. For that realization, I have not responded unkindly. It is also quite interesting how much importance some people ascribe to these e-mail comments. If you don't like something, do as I do. I just delete it and then forget about it. All I'm really interested in right now, is if anyone knows anything about a Louisa Dinkins from North Carolina born in 1850. I also would like to know how to find the names of Methodist churches in Wayne and Johnston County, NC from the 1850s to the present. Thanks. Mary Deann
