Yes, if anyone expects to receive help, he/she should include as much data as possible to allow others to help. To the users of this Mailing List: Please remember that JONES from SC, just doesn't give other users enough data. If you REALLY want help, FIRST OF ALL, type in a "good" subject line. Instructions for this are in the Welcome Message that every new subscriber receives. READ IT!!!!! Next, tell the users what you have, what you need, where your "dead end" or "brick wall" is, and for Heaven's sake, give some dates and places. We can't help otherwise.
In the Army it's Name, Rank, and Serial Number. In Genealogy it's Surname, Date, and Place. I have a Nathan Hale in my Knapp Database. His daughter married into the Knapp family. I amnot sure if this is the correct Nathan Hale, what I do know about him is limited. This Knapp clan came from CT, and some of the data that I received on his daughter said that she was related to the Nathan Hale of Revolutionary War status. You can view the database at the following address. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Acres/1509/ Sandie rebel@always-online.com
Fredrick Goodooff Neukirchner is found in the 1860 census of Knox County Tenn. with wife and children. He came from Germany-Prussia area when? I have a letter stating that he had 3 brothers and a least one sister. No names or places listed. The letter was from daughter living in Strawberry Plains area in Tenns. Any help on this family would be greatly appreciated. I have traced the Fredrick Neukirchner family to Oregon where my grandmother Gladys was born. Where are Fredrick's brothers and sisters. Sharon Cheney in Idaho
I have no information about the Hale family, but Richard Hale and Elizabeth Strong and their children are included in "Dwight's History of the Strong Family" p. 331ff. This volume (or mine is a two volume set) should be easy to find. It might be listed as "The History of the Descendants of Elder John Strong of Northampton, Mass." It was republished by Gateway Press, Inc. of Baltimore in 1984. Dot

Gateway is just up the road from us (I am in Annapolis) and I have visited them; a nice small publisher of family histories. I will check with them, and likely it is in the Pratt Library or etc. If you have above pg. 331 I would love to get a copy . . . Peter Burrows, P. O. Box 1909, Annapolis, MD 21404-1909
Anyone done any work on the family of patriot Nathan Hale, b. 1755 CT and excuted by the Bristish in NYC Sept 1776? He was son of Richard Hale & Elizabeth Strong of CT and one of 12 children. What were their names & birthdates? He never married and did not have children; but what about his siblings? Is there a HALE FAMAILY GENEALOGY or family society? What is the e-mail address for the DAR? Peter Burrows, Annapolis MD
