    1. SULLIVAN, CUMMINGS, SHEA, O'BRIEN; ENG>PA, USA; 1865
    2. Coming over on the boat >From what I can gather my great grandfather Patrick SULLIVAN immigrated from Wales to the US in 1865. According to Patrick Sullivan Naturalization papers he arrived Port of New York 10 September 1865. He was naturalized 29 September 1884 with John SHEA as witness. The register of the SS Mancester from Liverpool 7 September 1865 microscopy #237 1820-1897 Roll #256 7-30 Sep 1865 lists 857-942 shows: passenger # 383 Catherine Sullivan 25 years old; spinster; Ireland; #390 May Sullivan 25 ; spinster: Ireland #399 John Sullivan 24; laborer; Ireland #447 Ellen Sullivan 27; spinster: Ireland # 416 Mary Sullivan 30; Wife; #417 John Sullivan 9 #418Tim Sullivan 5 #419 Joseph Sullivan 3 #420 Daniel Sulllivan1 #466 Daniel Sullivan 24 Laborer #588 Patrick Sullivan 25 laborer #592 B. Sullivan 20 spinster At this time I have no way of knowing if the other SULLIVANs were siblings, relatives or for that matter non-relatives. I am forwarding this information in hopes it might help another researcher and maybe help me also. My Patrick SULLIVAN immigrated from Ireland to Wales were he married my great- grandmother Ellen CUMMINGS in Rhymney, Wales. They subsequently settled in Pennsylvania-Old Forge, Minooka, Taylor and Scranton areas where they raised 11 children. Many of the children were females so my search is that much more difficult. The surnames SULLIVAN, CUMMINGS, SHEA, O' BRIEN are intertwined. Here's hoping St. Patrick's Day will bring me the luck of the Irish. Have a Very Happy St. Patty's Day Walton J.
