Sgt George, Good for you!! and Thanks for message. Yes, I look at my list of mail to read, and DELETE all those that say "nothing". It's just not that hard to type SURNAME, john, b c 1790, VA d aft 1860 IL or OH now is it you people out there??? Madora
If your Stewart line comes through Texas let me know. Have a Stewart in my line that came from Scotland.
Trying to figure out where these locations are, I have not been able to identify them on the map. Thanks for any help! Kries Minden ? Nordhemmern? Hartum? Hornhorst? Christi
I am searching for any information on this surname, I have been unable to find any type of connection anywhere, any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks Christi
I agree....it certainly makes it easier and faster if we don't have to read every bit of mail that comes across only to find it has nothing to do with us! Rita
Hello to all, I was wondering if any of you had the following WILLIAMS in your database. Apparently, the family migrated from AL, to TX, and, then the CAST branch went to OK. * Sarah WILLIAMS, d. AL, m. 1842 Coleman HEATLEY * Mary Jane Elizabeth HEATLEY b. 27 Nov 1849 Shelby Co., AL d. 28 Feb 1937 m. 28 Jul 1872 Delta Co., TX Thomas Marion CAST b. 29 Mar 1845 Pontotoc Co., MS d. 10 Feb 1931 * Aaron HEATLEY * David HEATLEY * Wiley HEATLEY * Nancy Jane HEATLEY * Henry Braxton HEATLEY m. Sarah Callie MCCAIN * William H. HEATLEY m. "Aunt Dutch" This is the earliest known Ancestor I have for this Surname. All Descendants are listed under the PERSONS INDEX in my webpage. My entire database of 1,341 Surnames; 5,616 Persons is included. If someone is not listed, then I do not have them at this time. Thanks in advance for checking, Melinda K. I don't even botherr opening these types of subject as I have no one with those words in there name. Joyce
Looks like we are about due for another gentle reminder about Subject Lines. Subjects such as "Searching for surnames", "My Surnames", etc., give the rest of the users ABSOLUTELY no clues as to the names you are researching. If you want the rest of us to read your email, then try to put something in the Subject line that makes us want to open and read your messages. AND, when you reply to an email with a subject such as "Searching for Surnames", and you are commenting on a name such as SMITH, for heavens sake don't just send back the reply with the same sub- ject line. Take the time to delete the old subject and type in some- thing like, "Ref. Your Searching for Surnames, Info on SMITH", or something similar. Research has shown that the majority of SURNAME mailing list subscribers ignore and delete any email that doesn't have a definitive subject. If you want your email to be read, type a meaningful sub- ject line. WHY IN THE WORLD DO YOU THINK THAT THE DANGED LINE IS INCLUDED IN ALL EMAIL IN THE FIRST PLACE?! The answer is, "To let recipients know what is in the message!" SgtGeorge
