Hello, my name is Debbie Parsons. I recently had my hard disk crash and lost everything I had on it. I had some info backed up, but not all. I really learned my lesson on that one. Would anyone who has contacted me before please recontact me so I can put them back into my address and email file? I'm really sorry to everyone. I am fairly new to computers and genealogy and I guess some things you just have to learn the hard way. I am especially looking for Ann from Houston, Texas who did me a great favor and did some lookups for me on my Rhames and Capps line. I recieved your package, but lost your email address. Please contact me again. Also I'm looking for Ray Griffith who is researching Chestnuts. Please contact me. Also looking for Leo Vereen, please email me again. I am mostly looking for information on Nathaniel's parents. Nathaniel married Anna (Maiden name? 1800-1863;Monmouthshire, South Wales) and became an ordained minister in the church of England (unconfirmed). He is also said to have become a priest who worked at St. John's Anglican Church and Oak Leaf Holy Trinity Church in various parts of Ontario, Canada. When he first immigrated to North America, I believe it was to Albany, New York, however, since his oldest son, Bramwell, was born there in 1832. He was also found later in Washington, D.C. where another son, Delaney, was born in1838. I believe it was from here that he then moved on to various parts of Ontario, Canada. Bramwell had three other boys as well, Pier, Nathaniel, and Sharp and one daughter, whose name and birthdate is unknown. I would also be interested in finding more information on the daughter, who is reported to have moved back to New York state after she had moved to Ontario with her family. She may have been the oldest of all the children. Thank you in advance, for any help you can provide. Barb Rowbotham
Thank You, Tawsha Hubbard
Looking for any links, mostly in the Chicago area, to any Meyers. Amanda was born in Dupage Co., and my belief is she had family there still when she married in 1895 and moved with my grandfather, Carl WEISS to NC until 1913. The couple returned to Adams Co., where my Grandpa was a pastor at two Lutheran churches. I will, hopefully, be receiving a copy of a death cert. for Amanda soon, and I hope to learn her parents' names, but thought I'd quick throw this out once again. The only other Meyers I know are a Laura Meyer(cousin, deceased) and a Vince and John Meyer in WI. Thanks, and for gosh sakes, I hope I've done this right, cuz I'd hate to break any rules! Heather

I have a James CRAIG b. 1766 prob. in VA. m. Rebekah HILL 1793 in Clark Co. KY. He lived in Green Co. Ky until approx 1829 when he moved to Morgan Co. IN to join his older sons. He is linked to Joseph COLVILLE who gave him power of attorney in Green Co. KY Joseph apparently moved to Blount Co. TN where he died. His father Capt. Andrew COLVILLE who fought at King's Mountain along with a Capt. Robert CRAIG was married to a Mary CRAIG. I believe Mary may be the aunt of James CRAIG. The COLVILLE family is closely linked to VANCE, MONTGOMERY, LUSK.

We have seen an increasing number of "junk" messages lately, dealing with "Return Receipts" for email posted to the mailing lists. Having written to several of the servers sending back these "Return Receipts", it has been brought to our attention that the servers are set to do this ONLY if there was such a request in an original email from a subscriber. What this means is, PLEASE do NOT set your email browser to ask for a "Return Receipt"!!!!! Unbeknownst to any of us, this not only gets the sender a receipt for his individual message, but, when that message's target is a mailing list, then gets sent out to several subscribers, the servers of some of those subscribers will automatically send a "Return Receipt" back to the MAILING LIST, not back to the ORIGINAL SENDER. It seems that anytime a subscriber is using server at a college or university, they are ALWAYS set to send a "Return Receipt", and of course it shows up either on the List itself or in the List- owners mailbox. In either case, they are nuisances and serve no useful purpose. I use Eudora and it has a button to click, "RR", at the top in the button bar. If this is checked, you are asking for a "Return Receipt" and will cause unnecessary email traffic to the Lists. I don't know the procedures for checking this in other email browsers, but PLEASE turn it off. Some of you DO have it turned on, because we are getting many replies. Thanks, SgtGeorge
