I have Early Settlers in Maryland, 1731-1750 by Peter Coldham on pgs 234,235 there are 15 different WARDs listed, with names of plantations, dates of regis tration, some misc.: WARD; Augustine, 1743 Cornelius, 1747 Edward, 1747 Henry, 1750 Jacob, 1749 James, 1749 John, 1734, 1747 Joseph, 1747, 1748 Margaret, widow of Matther Tilghman WARD, Esq, and Matthew WARD 1742 Mishack of Northampton Co., VA 1748 Nathaniel, 1743 Peregrine, 1750 Robert 1743 Stephen, Jr. 1734 Thomas 1737 Looks like a big family came across, settled in MD, spred to VA You would have to search land patent records, etc. If any of above interest you, I can give plantation names, some references I don't understand Madora
