    3. I appreciate your few rules you are establishing. They are not hard for thinking people to undertasnd the reason for being. Futhermore I appreciate the fact that you are attempting to raise the standards of your domain. Also, there are a multitude of us who are grateful for your work and the money your are spending for your own pocket to maintain this list. We have no right to complain!!! Rather we are deeply indebted and appreciative of your time and service. Please do not let those from the Augean Stables depress you. Keep up the good work. Wells

    3. This is *the last posting* I am going to make on this topic. This piece of e-mail is a perfect example of illogical reasoning. Delete the welcome message, which includes the rules. Spam the list, and flame the listowner. Makes a lot of sense to me, and I am getting very aggravated by people who are so willing to break the rules. But I'm going to start deleting now! E-n-o-u-g-h is e-n-o-u-g-h!!! Casey Joe Somhorst wrote: > > PRES LOIS M FRIEDMAN wrote: > > > > I think that you are a DRILL SGT. 3. My apologies to the list! I meant for this message to be private. I am getting tired of reading complaints that have nothing to do with genealogy! Would be nice if everyone could act like adults and stick to the topic, not spam the list--me included! Regards, Casey Casey wrote: > > Helena, > > I was wondering whose attitude you don't like? 3. "I feel the same way. All questions and no answers makes for dull reading and frustrated readers. We want answers!!!!!! Ruth" (For the benefit of the newbies to the list who don't understand what is going on yet, please understand I am not yelling at you.) Ruth, I will answer you on the list (knowing I may receive the wrath of SgtGeorge - with good cause) hoping you will FINALLY understand what he is saying here, and that maybe I can help others understand. Helpful info to others is okay to answer on-list. Replies with "Could you please look-up this" or "I have that" or repetitively stating things (such as this message is a repetition of many others) helps NOBODY. Both your message and my reply to it weren't helpful to anyone, unless mine manages to help SOMEBODY on this list understand the difference between HELPFUL genealogical info and NONSENSE. I didn't see anything genealogical on them ANYWHERE. Did YOU? We are wasting bandwidth with this nonsense! Sorry for the yelling, folks, but this is getting really ridiculous. And SgtGeorge, please forgive me. I think you know me well enough to know I don't get mad. I promise to either leave the stupid stuff alone next time or to reply off-list. Renee' in Okla. 2. Roy Bittner
    3. Let me clear something up. I for one am a rule follower until these last two post. After this post I will go back to being a rule follower. I do not have a problem with rules. But the key word here is RULES not LAWS. And there is always exceptions to the rules. If someone deviates from the rules alittle bit whats the big deal. It may be their personal opinion that they are following the rules. Do you think people on this list say hey heres a list of rules lets break them. But the SGT. has a one sided opinion HIS OWN and WHAT EVER HE THINKS WE SHOULD ALL THINK. He needs to look at this from the other side of the fence also, the grass is just as green over here. I didn't mean to stir up the hive but I've quit so many lists because of all the bull on them. I felt it was time to say something. Maybe what need to be done is when someone subscribes to the list they have to confirm that they have read all the rules and regs. of the list. Once this is done maybe the three strike system.(But the moderator of this needs to be level headed)

I AM concerned that it is necessary for him to do so. If you are unhappy with the list, please sign-off - unsubscribe. Thank you. Charles Charles Heisterkamp, III [email protected]

    3. As a child I was told that all rules were there for a reason and need to be followed as a parent I have tried to teach my kids the same NOT a easy job as Sgt George is finding out. In the years that I managed several businesses the ones that didn't follow the rules were the ones that didn't hold a job for any lenght of time bet a lot of you complainers can relate to that!!!!!! Lets let George post the rules like several other listowners are doing and MAYBE if we all obey them he will only have to post them once a week instead of several times a day. If you have any comments please send them directly to me so I can delete you without plugging up the rootsweb lines. [email protected] Sorry George about sennding this to the list but just had to print up a list of family rules for my kids to follow and I to got the same response *vbg* Carol If it wasn't for the past... there would be no future... http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/9992/thompson.html http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/9992/runyan.html
