The full moon certainly affects people. I used to run a nightclub and I always had more trouble on the full moon. Ordinary guys would suddenly become totally unreasonable. Our bouncers always dreaded the full moon and would often ask their husky friends to just come down and hand around in case there was more trouble than they could handle. Hi all, My family of William Henry STEELE (daughter Arlene married John Sanford CAMPBELL, 1906) lived and farmed the area of The Dalles, Wasco County, OR about 18 to 1890. I'm looking for a "Plat" map (usually found in an atlas by Metzger Atlas) which shows the sections, acres, and who lived on/owned that section. I have one done in 1860 and one in 1877, both of which was before the time period I need. Does anyone know the where abouts of one done between 1890-1900. The description of the land would be: 160 acres, North East quarter of section 26, in Township No. 1 North., Range No. 13 East Willamette Meridian. This was my g grandfather's Homstead. I have a copy of the Homestead Certificate, found at the Wasco County Clerks Office. I understand there are archives in Salem, but I've search there, and the two history libraries, one in each college/university in Corvallis and Eugene which may have a copy in their files.
