The full moon certainly affects people. I used to run a nightclub and I always had more trouble on the full moon. Ordinary guys would suddenly become totally unreasonable. Our bouncers always dreaded the full moon and would often ask their husky friends to just come down and hand around in case there was more trouble than they could handle. We even had an arrangement with a nightclub across the alley that we would lend our bouncers back and forth on a full moon. Cheers, Sylvia Researching BLENKIN, GLEWELL, HOAD, MARSH, SIMS

Does any one have this line? Looking for relatives who might know about Emma's family. Lived in or near St. Cloud, Stearns Co. MN from 1860 on. Had twelve children, who lived around this area most of their lives. Thank you in advance Dawn
Believe me it is true. People do change with a full moon. I'm a nurse at an Emergency Department in Alice Springs, Australia and all sorts of normal people act in the most bizarre ways during a full moon. It is the bane of the police's and our lives!!!!! Hi all, My family of William Henry STEELE (daughter Arlene married John Sanford CAMPBELL, 1906) lived and farmed the area of The Dalles, Wasco County, OR about 18 to 1890. I'm looking for a "Plat" map (usually found in an atlas by Metzger Atlas) which shows the sections, acres, and who lived on/owned that section. I have one done in 1860 and one in 1877, both of which was before the time period I need. Does anyone know the where abouts of one done between 1890-1900. The description of the land would be: 160 acres, North East quarter of section 26, in Township No. 1 North., Range No. 13 East Willamette Meridian. This was my g grandfather's Homstead. I have a copy of the Homestead Certificate, found at the Wasco County Clerks Office. I understand there are archives in Salem, but I've search there, and the two history libraries, one in each college/university in Corvallis and Eugene which may have a copy in their files. The maps I have were obtained from the BLM office in Portland, Oregon. If you know of any map of this time period, please email me personally. Thanks. Jan Fenter [email protected]
I think so. A neighbor is a retired policeman and he has told us to watch the crime reports - they increase and the police department always has more on duty at that time!!! Would anyone know the name of the tribe that would have a surname of CHEATU? We are looking for Ada Gertrude Cheatu, Thomas Cheatu was father and Pamela Cheatu was mother of Ada.

If the user elects to use them, each email sent from Netscape has one of these irritating things attached to it. Not at the bottom of the body text like a signature, but as a true attachment. If they were allowed at Roots- Web, your hard disk would soon fill up with them. Most people aren't even aware they are there until sooner or later they look in the directory they have designated as the one for attached files to be downloaded into. RootsWeb doesn't allow ANY attachments since there are some servers and some user systems that just can't handle attachments, therefore vCards are not allowed either. In my opinion, they serve no useful purpose for 99.99% of the population. After all, if you send someone an email they can plainly see your email address in the message header. If you want recipients to have your name, address, phone number, etc., it is easy to include that in the email. In my opinion, again, they are "vanity cards", serving no legitimate purpose for what we do here on these genealogy lists. SgtGeorge Listowner
