Debbie, My mother too passed away in February and we buried her in Texas. To my knowledge there is no time limit. In fact they told me as long as you own the lot it is your choice when or if you put one up. There may be restrictions on certain cemeteries but i've never heard of that one before. Hello, I am posting my FENTER surname (brick wall) here because I haven't seen anything on any current list. My great grandfather James Henry FENTER's where abouts were last known as Traskwood, Saline County, Arkansas, on the 1880 Census, and prior to that is believed to have been in Hot Spring County, Arkansas about 1850, living with the Williams family at age 4. According to family information James had a wife named Emily, but there is a question as to her maiden name (EDGERTON or DOWDY). There were 3 children, two girls listed on the 1880 Saline County Census as Safrona, 6 years old and Liva (Lena or Laura) age 4 years, and my grandfather Henry Walter age 1 and living with the Absolum M. TANNER family in Fair Play, Saline County, Arkansas. There is supposed to be a "FENTER Family Reunion" every summer, I think in June or July, in Malvern, Arkansas, and as I understand it there are more of the other surnames than the FENTER name who attend. If there are any of the FENTER Reunion people on this list would you please contact me privately. I have spoken and written to Bill WHITE, who sent me some FENTER information regarding the Christian FENTER ancestory, and as yet I am unable to connect my James to that line. Bill didn't have anything on my great grandfather James Henry FENTER. I can't find a RootsWeb List for FENTER. Any assistance would be much appreciated on this brick wall. Advertising is NOT allowed on this List, or any other List that I manage. I have already written to the person who posted the advertisement, plus I unsubscribed that person and placed him on the "reject list" at Roots- Web. He hit two of my lists, and I guess I am lucky. He sent his SPAM out to about 3 dozen other lists to which he subscribes. Users should know by now that I do not allow such off-topic junk on the Lists that I manage. Thread over.
