Has anyone any thoughts on the origins of the rare surname TAKEN? I have Irish connections to this name and have also found references to the family name in the east end of London, possibly with Jewish connections. I have also seen a few references to the name in Germany and Holland. There appears to be no connection to the similar sounding, East Anglian based surname, TACON.
