More on the Heyman surname Also to be considered. It is also derived from the German "Hagen" meaning "hedged place". .. We should also consider the Jewish "Hyman" meaning life. And.. believe it or not, many strange men were addressed "Hey! man". John __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Once again, THANKS to everyone for all the information. A few months ago, a 'just found' 2nd cousin, told me that my grandfather, my mom's dad, was Jewish. He said that when my mom annouced that she was going to marry a Baptist, that he wished her dead, so I wondered about that. I have found practically NOTHING, on that name, HEYMAN. I am begining to think they came from Mars! LOL Thanks again everyone. Kay Robinson Music Also researching... EDNEY, GORE, GRADY, GRAY, HART, HEYMAN, HUGHES, LAVENDER, ROBINSON, SMITH, WILSON, WRIGHT...(from the south east), and ofcourse, MUSIC/MUSICK.
