    3. ELKS - found: \ ELKE, ELKES (German) Descendant of Elke, a pet form of Elkihard (temple, hard). ---Source: A Dictinary of Surnames by Patrick Hanks and Flavia Hodges. BOUBAY - couldn't find this one but did find a couple of possibilities: \ BOBÉ (Catalan [language of NE Spain and the Balearic islands]) A herdsman. \ BOVEY (English) One who came from Bovey, on the Bovey river in Devonshire. ---Source: New Dictionary of American Family Names by Elsdon C.
