Hi List This Is my first posting. I hope someone can help solve my NEKREWS family origin. The first NEKREWS appears In a marriage In 1788 In Swansea. It as over the years been entered In Records under NEKREWS, NECREWS, NECKEREWS, and NEKRUES. It has been suggested that It maybe of greek origin, but I tend to believe It maybe of North european or Russian. I believe the current spelling Is only the way It was first recorded by a local I Swansea. Any suggestion welcome. I have exhausted all avenues. Carol
