Looking for info on BERNICE ELIZABETH SURGINER. She married Frederick Bayans May 1st, 1872 in Austin, TX. Died in Bastrop Co. TX December 23, 1883. Found them on a census in Bastrop Co. TX in 1880. On this census, Bernice states she was born in Mi. Father born in KY and mother in TN. Not really sure if the Mi stands for Michigan or Mississippi in this case.
