Hello everybody, I am so happy to see that you are all refraining from mentioning any viruses. It has been my displeasure to see (on other lists) that there seems to be a very active one hitting members of the rootsweb's mailing lists. Some folks have the MISconception that they are getting it from the rootsweb lists. This isn't possible since attachments are NEVER sent through these lists at all. Please do not open any attachments that you may receive, and do not think that it came from one of the lists that you are on. If by chance, you receive an attachment from someone, do them a favor and write them to tell them they have it so they can get their system cleaned up. This current worm sends itself out to all unopened mail in your inbox. As a precaution, never open an attachment which has the 3 digit extensions of: .exe or .vbs. Toss these letters into your trash can, and dump your trash immediately. This ensures that you will not get infected.
