Seeking the identity of S.R.Sumpter. This man appeared on an 1836 Vigilance Committee in Helena, Phillips Co,Arkansas, St. Francis District. On the 1840 Federal Census for Phillips County, there is a 30-40 year old Sara Sumpter listed by herself. Is she related to S.R.Sumpter? Thanks for any and all help.
