They married 10 Mar 1792 in Henry Co,VA. It is believed that William is a son of Henry and Agnes Dillon Sumpter of Henry Co, VA. In early Claiborne Co,TN, several Sumpter men are listed: Henry, Sr., George, William and Henry, Jr. William and Margaret Sumpter are listed on the 1850 Claiborne Co, TN Federal Census as paupers. There is no other person in their 1850 house. Who were the children of William and Margaret? Thanks for help with this couple.
