Feb/24/1767 Nunn vs. Sumpter Alias Capria ordered Mar/24/1767 Nunn vs. Sumpter Imparlance Jun/23/1767 Nunn vs Sumpter Non assumet issue Sept/28/1767 Henry Sumpter & Agnes his wife - Plaintiff Francis Amoss Jr. - Defendant Assault and Battery By consent of the parties the determination of this cause is referred to George Carrington and Samuel Taylor, Gentlemen, and the parties agree that their award thereupon shall be made at the judgement of the court. Sept/29/1767 Nunn vs. Sumpter Dismisses by failure of the plaintiff to prosecute. Oct/26/1767 Motion of Francis Burnet a witness for Henry Sumpter at the suit of Thomas Nunn. It is ordered said Henry pay 50 pounds of tobacco for two daies attendance to law. Jun/27/1768 An indenture of Bargain and Sale between Henry Sumpter and William Ferris proved by Joseph Palemore, John Creasey, and WILLIAM DILLION. Jul/25/1768 Charles Scott - Plaintiff Henry Sumpter- Defendant By consent of the parties the suit is dismissed at the defendant's cost. Jul/26/1768 Sumpter vs Amoss dismissed by failure of the plaintiff to prosecute. May/22/1769 Henry Landen - Plaintiff Henry Sumpter - Defendant Dismissed failure to prosecute. Aug/28/1770 On the motion of Henry Sumpter and Agnes Sumpter, witnesses for John Pointer against Peter Stoner and Jacob Pellock. Order John Pointer to pay each 175 pounds of tobacco for seven day attendance according to law. Oct/22/1771 An indenture of bargain and sale between Henry Sumpter and Agnes his wife and Samuel Ligon is acknowledged and ordered to be recorded. Mar/23/1772 Peggy a Negro girl belonging to Henry Sumpter is by the court adjudged to be eleven years old. Dec/28/1772 Henry Sumpter - Plaintiff Gideon Patterson - Defendant Bond for James Patterson Mar/22/1773 Isaac Fox - Plaintiff Henry Sumpter - Defendant Special Imparlance Apr/27/1773 Fox vs. Sumpter Further Imparlance Sept/28/1773 Fox vs. Sumpter Defendant not guilty of issue. Oct/26/1773 Fox vs. Sumpter Continued at the motion and cost of the plaintiff. The parties agree that the deposition of William Harris a witness for the defendant may be taken before a single justice on reasonable notice. Feb/07/1774 Fox vs. Sumpter Jury decides defendant is guilty. Awards 5 pounds and seventeen shillings. May/23/1774. Henry Sumpter comes into court and acknowleges himself indebted to Henry Landon Davies in the sum of four pounds, fifteen shillings, and two pence one farthing. It is considered by the court that the said Davies recover against the said Sumpter his depbt aforesaid in form aforesaid confessed. Oct/27/1775 An indenture of bargain and between Elijah Ligon and Christian his wife and Henry Sumpter is acknowledged. Oct/28/1776 An indenture of trust between Henry Sumpter and George Carrinton Jr. is proved by Joseph Carrington. Dec/23/1776 An indenture of trust between Henry Sumpter and Agnes his wife and George Carrington is further proved by John Swann. Jim Landrum
