I was at the Family history center again today and found some more on our Sumpters from Arkansas, so I thought I would post them here. William Sumpter; Widow, Ida May; CO F, 3Ark CAL; applied 1919, she applied 1919; he did 12/03/1918. This was from the confederate Pension applications of Garland CO. also found a marriage record in the IGI for a SUMPTER, James to Jennie Abraham m 16Sept 1886 Saline CO census I believe Jemimah Caroline Sumpter age 53 Hope this helps someone.
