Can anyone tell me who the father of Thomas Sumpter was. Thomas Sumpter born in 1769 in Albemarle CO VA. Is there any record of him in VA and if so what records are there and who was his parents. I spoke to my Uncle today and he said that he was told that the Sumpters were from Ireland, but if memory is correct they were from England right? Now why is no one sending or posting any info on here or on the myfamily site. I will be uploading my disc just as soon as I get all of the census information added into it.
