Does anyone have information about this man? John Sumpter married Minerva J. Minear about 1860 probably in Clay or Green Co, IN. He was born 1834 in Indiana, she was born 1841 in Indiana. The 1880 Greene Co, IN, census lists them with the following children: Sadie (Sarah) b 1862 IN, Rosie E b 1864 IN, Lizzie b 1867 IN. Later data from a letter from Harold Sumpter, lists two sons: Mathew who died young and Charles Otha (?) born 1881 IN. The letter also said that John was dead before 1900 and that Minerva died in 1904. I am seeking information about John's parents and sibblings. Thanks for any and all help!!
